What a win! An Adder kind of duels a Warhammer, and comes out on top, that was awesome! So let’s go over our SP and set up the next track!
Earnings and Spending
We with this win, we get 750 SP, and spend 200 for our pilots. Sven gets MVP as well, and spends on a 4th edge token and puts the rest into gunnery. Achimedes puts his into gunnery, and we’re set! I just went with simple choices, no need to stress over advancement. I also want to get as many gunnery 3 pilots as fast as we can.
For repairs, we don’t pay anything due to straight/100% support, awesome! Though the Adder has to sit out, due to having internal damage and crits. The Rifleman and J. Edgar just have light armor damage, so will be ready for the next track. All are rearmed too, since that’s free as well.
Setting up track 2
Alright, we’ll be taking this track at scale 2, and we have a couple options for track 2. We can either have the Sea Fox side want to keep pushing on the White Orchids, meaning we’ll have a strike track also in month 2. The Wolf Reapers will be the attackers there. The Sea Foxes can opt to not attack in month 2, which moves us on to month 3. That would allow us to repair everything in time for track 2, but give us 2 tracks in month 3. Track 2 would then be an Objective Raid with the Azure Phoenix would be defending, for Track 3 we would then counter attack becoming the attackers on a retreat track.
Thinking about how track 1 went, I feel like Karl would pressure the Reapers to keep pushing and get revenge for crippling his precious golden Warhammer. I feel like he would do that, he’s kind of taken command of the unit just by being the “best” merc there and browbeating everyone else. So track 2 will be a strike track, and still in month 2. As for maps, I’ll go with a desert map with some water and a map with some buildings on it. Just going with stuff I have, but probably won’t have much 3d printed stuff on it this time, I don’t want to have a long gap between games again. Rolling Complications, we both get 7s, meaning we both have to choose one unit that will not enter play until turn 3, great. Speaking of units, let’s go over the teams.
Teams

This track the Azure Phoenix will be taking, well, everything else. We have Miriam leading the charge in her Archer. Olivia is back in the Marauder and Sven jumps back into his Phoenix Hawk. Joining them this time is Apprentice Mechwarrior Barnaby Smalls is piloting our new Howler, Archimedes Sanchez jumps into the Maxim Heavy Transport, and we have both points of Elemental 3 battle armor, lead by Wendy Tentflap and Donker Yonker, I haven’t painted the other point so just one in the picture. This leaves us around 350 BV short unfortunately, we don’t really have anything else to fill the gap. It’ll be fine I’m sure.

The Wolf Reapers also bring out the rest of their units. We have “CO” Spencer “Saltfang” Applegarth in his Starslayer 3Dr, his buddy Jacob Minty is in a Manticore XL. Their new hires/paid muscle are Ryan Smith in a Crab 54(played by a Pouncer), as well as Electra Kaloxylos in her Marauder 7R(played by a Marauder IIC). Pretty beefy force if I say so myself.
Final Thoughts
Track one was pretty fun, I learned quite a bit from this one game actually:
- I’ve gotten too comfortable with jump jets. That damn Warhammer kept getting behind me since I wasn’t used to not being able to face wherever I wanted after moving.
- ATMs are amazing! My favorite missiles now, sorry MRMs.
- I’m still working out my writing and note style for all this. My notes and pictures were rough, so I need to sit down and write up a rubric for notes and work in picture reminders as well.
- The big thing is I need to not treat theses games like other stuff I do. With adhd I usually need extra stimulation to focus. I went with watching youtube video essays for the first 3 turns of this track. That was a bad idea, I felt off and detatched for those turns. I was confused for a bit, until a video ended and it felt like a weight lifted off me. I set up some music and was right back into things, i felt good and engaged! So I’m going to make sure that’s how I play every game for this blog, that will also help with notes and pictures as well.
With all that taken care of, it’s time for us to move on to track 2! The Wolf Reapers will be attacking the Hellcat production facility, and the Azure Phoenix needs to defend the HQ and drive them off! We’ll see how that goes next time!
